Serving Richmond and the Tri-Cities

Mary Kay’s Corner | Fall 2017

/, News/Mary Kay’s Corner | Fall 2017

Fall is finally here and what a busy time for Rebuilding Together Richmond! From planning our Run2Rebuild Richmond 5K to selecting build projects for our second annual Fall Fix-Up Day, there is never a dull moment in our office. In fact, we have new staff members, board members and interns ready and eager to push the organization to the next level!

Fall Fix Up Day is on its way – Saturday, October 21st to be exact. We are very excited that several teams, such as AdvanSix and Fort Lee Family Housing, are already getting a jump start on their work in September. Our partners are creating tangible improvements in the community. We have 10 rebuilding projects lined up now until the end of October.

Let’s not forget about National Rebuilding Day scheduled Saturday, April 28th. We will repair and improve homes and community spaces in the Northside of Richmond and adjacent Henrico neighborhoods. This will be our first time working in Henrico and we are extremely excited for the opportunity to extend our helping hand that much further!

Some key dates are coming up for your calendar!

October 14—Lace up your shoes and run for a cause during our Run2Rebuild Richmond 5K and Wellness Fair.

October 17—Give Back Night at Chipotle! (7000 Forrest Ave, Richmond, VA)

October 21—Fall Fix Up Day in Petersburg. Stay tuned for details!

November 19—Fall Fixin’s Annual Benefit Auction at Ashton Creek Vineyard
