Important COVID-19 Update from Rebuilding Together of Richmond
As an organization, Rebuilding Together of Richmond is committed to ensuring the safety of our communities and neighbors. We are monitoring news on the coronavirus (COVID-19) with reliance on the public health approaches to prevent illness. After receiving information from Mayor Levar Stoney and the City of Richmond that recommended the postponement of large events in Richmond, we have decided the following:
- The inaugural Birdies & Bites Fundraiser at Topgolf will be moved from the original date of Sunday, March 29 to Sunday, August 30, 2020. Our registrants, sponsors, and volunteers will receive follow-up communication.
- As of March 12, 2020, National Rebuilding Month/Day projects are still in progress. Rebuilding Together of Richmond will make a decision to postpone April’s projects no later than Monday, April 6th and will contact all homeowners, volunteers, and contractors as soon as a decision is made.
- As of March 12, 2020, our Critical Home Repair Program will continue as usual. This is contingent upon the comfort level of our homeowners, contractors, and staff.
We are taking active steps to ensure the safety of all parties involved in the work we do. We have the best interests of the homeowners we serve at heart and will work with them to prevent as little disruption as possible. It is uncertain whether the coronavirus will have a significant impact in our area, but we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to limit any potential risk to all parties involved.
Please do not hesitate to contact our staff with any questions or concerns.
Additional updates will be posted here as they are made available.
