ALL PROJECTS AND PROJECT ACTIVITIES POSTPONED DUE TO RISK OF COVID-19
As an organization, Rebuilding Together of Richmond is deeply connected to our community and work every day to improve the safety and health of our neighbors. Rebuilding Together was started under the idea that every person should help their neighbors and give back to their community. Those values remain true today.
During times like these, we must continue to care for one another and protect one another, especially our older neighbors. The spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has made our work more challenging, but we will persevere.
To protect our homeowners, volunteers, contractors, and staff and to reduce the risk of community-spread COVID-19, we have decided to postpone all National Rebuilding Day (volunteer) projects until Fall 2020 and postpone all Critical Home Repair projects and activities until further notice. This includes all home visits, home assessments, and workdays. In the next couple of weeks, we will announce a new date for National Rebuilding Day projects.
We ask all staff and volunteers to avoid meeting in person until further notice. Although our offices will be closed for a couple of weeks, we will be working remotely and available to talk and help you navigate any issues that arise. Our team will contact homeowners, contractors, volunteer crew leaders, and funders in the next couple of days regarding next steps.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we try to do our part to “flatten the curve” of virus spread. We look forward to getting back to our hands-on work when it is possible.
